It’s time for the 2022 Slumber Pawty! On March 5th, 17 local animal shelters and rescue organizations, including Helping Strays, are coming together to raise much needed funds for daily operations, raise awareness of the importance of adoption from local shelters, and give the public a look into the life of a shelter animal. We are so grateful for the generous support the community continues to show the animals. Will you please consider selecting an option below and participating in the Pawty?

Helping Strays is also inviting our supporters and anyone interested to visit the Helping Strays Shelter, 4221 Hanover Rd, Columbia, IL, from 2PM until 9PM on Saturday, March 5th, to see how an animal shelter operates and cares for the animals while they wait for adoption. Tours will be available, snacks and drinks provided, and most importantly, people will have an opportunity to see firsthand how Helping Strays carries out its mission ‘to rescue, shelter, and rehabilitate homeless pets, find them loving homes, and promote responsible pet ownership’. Several volunteers and staff will be spending the entire night playing and sleeping beside the rescued cats and dogs in the shelter.

There are several ways you can participate: (open the attachment for step by step instructions)

1. Create your own team for fundraising (see participation levels below) and have a slumber pawty at home, with your pets or even invite a foster pet. 2. Donate directly to the Helping Strays event page or to an individual fundraiser’s page listed on the Helping Strays page at https://www.mightycause.com/team/Helpingstraysslumberpawty
3. Stop by the shelter before or on March 5th and donate by check, cash or credit card. Get a kitty-fix or smooch a pooch while you’re there! You can also mail or call in (618-939-7389) a donation, please mark ‘Slumber Pawty’.

All participants will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Gift card to Three Tails Parlor and Pantry!

Don’t be afraid to aim high for your goal! If you fall short, you do not need to make up the difference. If you reach your goal early, YAY!, you can raise your goal.

Funds raised through the St Louis Area Shelter Slumber Pawty page will be shared among the 17 participating rescues and shelters.
