Looking to fulfill community service?

Helping Strays is a wonderful place to complete community service hours.  Our animals appreciate your volunteerism and are excited to meet you! 

Whether you are fulfilling school requirements or completing court mandated service hours, please note the following information:  

  • Requirements of 25 hours and under are typically assigned general duties and/or cat socialization

  • Requirements of more than 25 hours are eligible to complete orientation for dog walking and cat care.

  • Those under the age of 16 must have a parent present while volunteering and will be assigned general duties and/or cat socialization.

  • Individuals convicted of violent crimes or animal abuse/neglect will not be permitted to volunteer

If you are interested in any of these positions, please complete a volunteer sign up form.  You may also reach our Volunteer Manager at volunteermanger@helpingstrays.org.  After signing up, volunteers that are selected will complete a training and orientation program to ensure your success as a volunteer at Helping Strays.
